Today’s dining adventure was Farmstand, a lovely eatery in downtown El Segundo specializing in fresh and organic dishes.
It’s a bit chilly and overcast today so no one was eating outside, but I’m putting dining out on the quaint patio on my to-do list for the next sunny afternoon.
The menu is full of mouthwatering, yet healthy, options. I was between the Portobello Mushroom Burger and the Grass Fed Lamb French Dip.
While struggling with this dilema, out came the bread – still warm and served with a duo of sweet chili and cilantro oils for dipping.
The flatware is bright and cheerful.
I decided on the Lamb French Dip. Probably the less healthy option between the two, but what the heck – it’s Tuesday!
It was topped with caramelized onions and mint sour cream and piled high onto an artisan roll. On the side, tangy turmeric au jus.
Much more filling than I expected, I had to take half of this delicious sandwich home. Guess I won’t have to make dinner tonight!
The decor was simply charming and service was fast and friendly. With our checks we each got a coupon to come back for a complimentary appetizer or dessert – so I’ll certainly be returning to Farmstand!
Until next time (or based on my recent posts, next meal! Promise more exciting posts to come, bear with me – it’s the work week.),
